Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Description

Based at Ricardo Prague’s Technical Centre, you will be required to perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient and accurate maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

Job Duties

  • Accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices and credit notes onto the purchase ledger, including coding and checking invoices
  • Be the main point of contact for supplier accounts allocated to you, resolving any queries by phone or email
  • Resolve daily queries via email or over the phone from internal customers
  • Check and reconcile supplier statements
  • Process manual adjustments
  • Monthly maintenance - GRIR clear down, review and clearing of creditors over 60 days, review of debit balances
  • Process the payment runs in a timely manner and in accordance with governance procedures
  • Send out remittances to suppliers
  • Support month-end reporting including the running of monthly aged creditor reports
  • Provide holiday cover for other members of the Accounts Payable and Expenses Team

The ideal candidate will have most of the following

  • Proven experience of working in an accounts payable role in a busy finance function
  • Highly numerate with a keen attention to detail
  • Methodical and accurate approach to work, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Be highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Good telephone manner
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written

Additional skills that would be advantageous include

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of SAP financial accounting system
  • Robust character who enjoys the challenge of working in a changing and evolving department
